Ahead of the BRI Liga 1 2024/2025 season, PSIS Semarang has seen major changes, including several key player departures. Local defensive stalwarts Fredyan Wahyu and Wahyu Prasetyo have moved to Malut United. They follow Hari Nur Yulianto, who also joined Malut United last season. Additionally, PSIS Semarang lost Taisei Marukawa, a key foreign player, to Dewa United. PSIS cited foreign player regulations as a reason for Marukawa’s departure. Despite these losses, PSIS has brought in new talent, including Zalnando on loan from Persib Bandung. Additionally, promising young players Aulia Rahman (17) and Rahmat Syawal (18) are expected to make a significant impact. Compared to last season, Persija Jakarta hasn't made many changes to their squad. The team has retained several key players, including Hanif Sjahbandi and Syahrian Abimanyu, who were rumored to be moving but decided to stay. Similarly, Marko Simic and Gustavo Almeida have also stayed with the team. Persija Jakarta has lost two senior players, Maman Abdulrahman and Tony Sucipto. However, other experienced players like Andritany Ardhiyasa and Riko Simanjuntak remain to provide leadership. Persija Jakarta has promoted young talents to the senior squad. After the generation of Dony Tri Pamungkas, the new 16-year-old player Zahabi Gholy has been introduced. Zahabi made his debut in the Piala Presiden 2024. Despite few changes in the player roster, Persija Jakarta has undergone a notable coaching change. Thomas Doll has been replaced by Carlos Pena from Spain. Pena is anticipated to strengthen the team and achieve better results than in the Piala Presiden 2024. The team captaincy has also changed. For the 2024/2025 season, Rizky Ridho will take over the role from Andritany Ardhiyasa.

In second place is Rizky Ridho. The Persija Jakarta defender has a market value of Rp7.39 billion, making him the most valuable player at Persija Jakarta and the tenth highest-valued Indonesian player. Ridho, when not involved with the Indonesian national team, is a backbone for Persija Jakarta. Last season, he played 24 matches, showing composure in defense and skill in ball distribution.

In fourth place is Nadeo Argawinata. The Borneo FC goalkeeper has a market value of Rp5.21 billion, making him the second most valuable player at Borneo FC and the 24th highest-valued Indonesian player. Nadeo was one of the best goalkeepers in Liga 1 2023/2024, with the fewest goals conceded and one of the highest save percentages. He is expected to remain a key figure for Borneo FC.
